PROBLEM

Skirmish (National Film School 2024) needed a promotional campaign and a title sequence. The film follows Annie, a twenty-something living in rural Ireland, who attends a cowboy-themed karaoke night at her local bar, hoping to navigate the fallout from a failed relationship. What starts as a plan quickly spirals into chaos, creating a night she will never forget.

Solution

The Skirmish campaign acts as an extension of the films story, using promotional items and illustrations as direct references to Annies chaotic world. From whiskey bottles and beer cans to cowboy boots chasing each other, every detail carries symbolism tied to the narrative. Even the ads, such as Tinder placements, blur the line between viewer and participant, drawing you into the films complex themes of queer love and heartbreak.
