PROBLEM
Race is a man-made construct that categorises people into hierarchical groups, placing whiteness at the top and positioning others beneath it. Labels such as “mixed race” reinforce the problematic idea of “racial purity”, implying the existence of “pure” and “impure” identities.
Solution
MUTT is a participatory art installation and multi-platform project exploring identity,race, and belonging through performance, surveillance, and satire. By combining live video projection, generative code, circus-inspired visuals, and a public awareness campaign, the project invites audiences to engage with and reflect on the absurd nature of racial categories
